Fall is here, and finally in full effect. Ample time has passed now for adjustments to be made to schedules and routines as the days get shorter and nights longer. Of course, we highly recommend to utilize the seasonal benefits of Autumn get togethers and upcoming Holiday celebrations, but if you can, don't lose sight of your goals to improve your language ability. As the New Year approaches, continue to take advantage of the time to create more discipline with your goals. If starting or even continuing to build your skills in a foreign language was one of your initial resolutions for this year, then the great news is there is still two months to jump on it! Acquire Languages is making it easier than ever before to immerse yourself in native conversation from the comfort of your own home. Physical Products to Connect & Inspire
Now more than ever it seems vital to have a not just a diversified array of offerings to prospective students in the language learning scene, but also options for them to "wear" their language journey. A physical product, like a t-shirt or a hoodie can mean so much as a symbol of connection and ambition. We hope that our products especially will help to develop those positive associations and allow you to share them with others by extension.
The Marigold Signature Hoodie is the first and pivotal piece in our upcoming apparel line that we believe will help set us apart from other language platforms. It is a simple garment that brandishes just our logo: a collection of vibrant, international, flags arranged in a fluid manner.
The Acquire Logo: Explored
Take a closer look at our logo. By emphasizing simplicity yet diversity we attempt to capture the essence of what it means to connect. Not just on a personal level, but a linguistic one; cultural. Acquire is itself a place where those relations become more seamless and less nuanced. The individual, striking differences that give each of our cultures a pronounced distinguish, also, at some distance begin to blend together into one another, producing a beautiful mix of ideas, vibrance, and perspectives. Notice also the particular directionality that our logo carries, as the flags are positioned in a manner that seems to show movement, as if one forms out of another. This pattern resembles the supportive link that tethers the nationalities of the world together.
What's evident about our style is that we don't discriminate with our attempts to represent as many countries and cultures as possible. Of course, naturally, there are more well recognized flags and even cultures, supported by the number of people that speak certain languages and understand particular customs. Still, we hope to give each region of the world their respect and pay homage to the brilliance born out of their practices. We'd like to stand for a symbol of what is, as well as what can be, if we begin to show more interest and attention to other corners of the world, both near and far, both celebrated and less understood. We believe this is the way, the Acquire Vision.

Shifting Towards Learning through Conversation
In order to reach progress towards your fluency goals this year, we encourage you to speak as much as possible in the target language. Oftentimes people avoid this aspect of learning due to fear of shame or embarrassment during the infancy stage–that is, the earlier stages when confidence is low in the raw speaking ability. It's vital to remember that this is a natural element to language acquisition and you must proceed past these earlier fears and insecurities to really tap into your potential in each given language. For example, if you're from a Spanish speaking background, but don't personally speak the language and want to learn, we insist that you start practicing with your family members. Many people continue to put off this key component with the hopes that one day they will finally build up the courage to put themselves out there, but we think it's best not to wait too long. If you would, however, reserve that vocal expression for when you truly feel ready, then fortunately we have an exciting new AI tool that can aid you immensely with speaking practice, all from the comfort of your own home:

New AI Conversation Tool: Langotalk
One of the neatest tools we have found so far for real-time, spoken language practice is in Langotalk. It functions similarly to the ChatGPT "Conversation Simulator" that we featured last month, except you do not need to prompt it necessarily with a specific direction, rather it inquires about your ability and ranks your elected topics of conversation to match your response and level.
Now unfortunately, this service is not completely free like ChatGPT, however, they do offer 5 free chats and a 7-day, Money Back free trial to use their program. Check out the slide show on the right to see how it works, and give it a try yourself!

Acquire Culture Ep. 7: Italy 🇮🇹
This month for our episode, we’re taking you through the land of cuisine and flavor, Italy (Italia). We collaborated with our friend David, an Italian native, to bring you this one, enjoy! ☀️
Italy’s focus on modernity, fine cuisine, and hospitality make it an extremely popular destination for visitors around the world. Many people are attracted to the history; Italy boasts some of arguably the most well known time eras internationally in the Renaissance and Roman Empire. You can imagine then, the high interest in original architecture, artworks, and sculptures left behind across the many beautiful cities like Rome, Milan,
and Venice for example, bring many excited observers. Oh and
who can forget Italy’s stupendous pasta and pizza. You can expect a level of passion and quality that goes into each Italian recipe that is unique only to the culture, passed down from generation to generation. We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the Football scene, which is huge in Italy and perhaps the most important piece of Italian life, except of course, Family 🇮🇹
